ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER...

I have been interested in photography since I was very young, but my formal training took place at Canterbury University in Christchurch, New Zealand where I lived for several years. I was incredibly fortunate to be able to study under world-renowned professors, which include the "1999 Best Wedding Photographer in the Southern Hemisphere" and a retired lifelong photographer for National Geographic.

My style was created by a combination of my training and a natural eye for capturing the true essence of who my subjects are. My goal is to create photographs that are natural and seemingly un-posed. With each session, I shoot a combination of modern journalistic and classic style portraiture that are artistic and unique. I absolutely love what I do, and I stay on top of my craft through specialized photography workshops and courses.

I now live in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama with my husband and two little boys. My family is very special to me, and I am so thankful for them. The most important thing in my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.  I am so thankful for the sacrifice that He made on the cross and the grace He gives me daily.

I would consider it a privilege to be able to photograph your child. With each new session, I feel like I am being allowed to momentarily enter into a new family to capture images that they will be able to reflect on and treasure forever.
